Taipei Things To Do

Taipei is a hive of activity at all times of day. What is fantastic about this vast city is that each district offers its own unique charm. Whether you want to take a sunset stroll at Danshui wharf, go hiking before hotsprings at Yangmingshan or marvel at the colonial era architecture of bygone era in old Taipei, every option is available and accessible via the wonderful Taipei City MRT. As an unbelievably safe city, Taipei is a great family destination and a wonderful option for solo travellers. Indulge in shopping expeditions at bespoke boutiques, local markets or big department stores. Visit one of Taipei's many galleries and museums. Taipei also offers an enticing nightlife to the socially-inclined. By day, savour the sweet outdoors. This wondrous destination for hiking enthusiasts, boasts trails, climbing spots and easonal river tracing. Not too far out of the city, Green Island offers suba divers some world class viewing. The city's excellent cycling infrastructure allows visitors to rent bicycles and explore Taipei by meandering along the riverside. But Taipei's greatest asset is it's residents. Roll up your sleeves, pick up a Taiwan Beer and get local. Taiwanese people are notoriously friendly and generally incredibly compassionate.
